One of the great things about starting this burger blog is the chance to explore new restaurants that are not on the radar.  Tonight we found Dukes’.  Originally we were going to check out another place close by, but the wait was too long.  Duke’s has a really cool atmosphere and friendly staff.  The menu has a large burger and drink selections.  Agnes ordered “The Duke” which is topped with cheese, crispy bacon and pickled jalapeno.  I had “The Border” which has sliced avocado, cripsy tortilla chips, lettuce, tomatoes, melted monterey jack and chipotle mayo.  Both burgers were good.  The Border burger needed more chipotle sauce.  The Duke was loaded with cheese, who doesn’t love extra cheese.  Both were a little dry for medium well.  Overall we still enjoyed our burgers.
